Being a 5-time "Top Workplace" winner is not a mistake. It seems circular, but part of what makes Continental a great place to work is our commitment to being a great place to work. With new team members starting regularly, it is vital to transmit elements of culture from those who have been here for some time to those who are relatively new. The meetings are an actualization of Continental's tradition of insisting on absolute honesty, and an opportunity to enhance the understanding of the Continental Creed.
The Challenge Meetings fall into the category of "a coherent body of precedents influencing the present". Topics of discussion, structured primarily as listening sessions, include SWOT, Culture, Teamwork, Career Path and Great Work, among others. The goal is to give all team members a voice in the company's direction and a chance to speak openly. Following the challenge meetings, task force teams will be formed to address major issues/themes drawn from employee feedback. Many of the findings will inform our strategic plans for 2018 and beyond.
Time-honored practices are important to a living organization. Traditions at Continental are not rigid; rather they give us a framework for creativity and growth while connecting us to the things that have made us great.
