Continental Announces Q4 2024 Value Ambassadors

Earlier this year, Continental launched the Values Peer Nomination Program, an exciting awards initiative designed to celebrate team members who exemplify our core Values through their words and actions. This program empowers our team to recognize colleagues who consistently demonstrate one or more of the following Values: 

  • Respect for the Individual 
  • Distinguished Character 
  • Achieving More Together 
  • Passion For All We Do 
  • Better Than Ever Before 

This program reflects our commitment to fostering a workplace where our shared Values are not just acknowledged, but actively lived and celebrated. Award recipients are chosen quarterly by a diverse, anonymous selection committee comprised of team members from different roles and backgrounds within the company.  

Those selected as recipients proudly hold the title of Continental's Value Ambassadors, serving as exemplary role models of our organizational culture.  

Continental recently announced our Q4 2024 Value Ambassadors to team members. Meet them below and discover the inspiring nominations submitted by their peers, highlighting their exceptional dedication to our shared Values.   

Better Than Ever Before 

Doug Essix, Service Supervisor

"Whether it is the resident experience or the prospect experience, Doug is always giving his thoughts on what more we could do to set ourselves apart. 

He recently suggested to the leasing team to allow the prospect to open the doors to their new home on their tour, to help them envision living at Authentix. He also suggested that the team member leave the home first and ask the prospects to take some time to really feel the home out by themselves. Mind you, Doug is the Service Supervisor. He wants our team to be the best we can be every day, and he is truly a person that encompasses all of our values within Continental. He makes efforts to reach out to our sister community's new Service Supervisor to check in with him. He is always ready to help, and asks the team daily, 'Do you need anything from me? What can I do to help?' EVERY DAY! 

He truly cares about the residents here at Kalamazoo, and we would not be the same without him!”

"Zac consistently embodies Continental's value of "Passion for All We Do" through his dedication to excellence, commitment to customer service, and drive for profitable results. Zac's actions clearly demonstrate a desire to enhance the lives and communities we impact.

Team Player: Zac consistently goes above and beyond to support his colleagues. During our calls, he readily steps in for Ashley or Pia, demonstrating a strong commitment to team success. Despite these communities falling outside his portfolio, Zac arrives fully prepared, offering engaged and thoughtful recommendations. This proactive approach highlights his "one team" mindset and dedication to shared accountability.

Growth Mindset: Zac champions continuous improvement, actively seeking ways to "do things better than before." His significant contributions to proactively stepping in to begin looking at processes and ways to overhaul and enhance the budget process exemplify his commitment to optimizing performance and driving positive change within the organization.
