Last week, Continental Properties held our annual Challenge Meetings at the Home Office. Challenge Meetings are a formal way for team members to meet with our senior leaders to share and discuss strengths, obstacles, ideas, and opportunities for improvement in an open and safe environment.
Challenge Meetings help further Continental’s culture of listening and foster the company’s drive for continuous improvement. Team members are encouraged to challenge the status quo to inspire change to our methods, processes, customer experiences, work environment, and culture. In previous years, Challenge Meetings have led to successful new policies, technology rollouts, and enhanced communication tools at Continental.
This year, team members participated in small roundtable discussions centered around a topic of their choice, including ‘Interdepartmental Communication’, ‘Data-Driven & Reporting’, ‘Agile Decision Making’, and ‘Evolving our Culture’. During each meeting, senior leaders listen to each perspective, learn from team member experiences, and facilitate a productive dialogue to identify the most important opportunities and issues for Continental to address.
After a day of productive and insightful discussions, team members gathered for drinks and appetizers and had the opportunity to dunk senior leadership and participate in a pie-throwing contest by donating to our Continental Cares fund.
We value the time we spend together each year at the Challenge Meetings and look forward to implementing some of the great ideas that are emerging this year!
